Aquatic Animal Veterinary Services
Here at For Fish we can provide you and your gilled creatures, with all the diagnostic, treatment, surgical and health management services that you would expect from any veterinary practice.
We are available for consultations by phone, video or on site visits to work with you to provide your aquatic pets and production species with the care and medical attention they deserve.
We constantly strive to remain current with our practices by contact and collaboration with like-minded veterinary professionals within the aquatic animal health sector within Australia and internationally.
TELEPHONE CONSULT
- Consultation Fee is $45 Inc GST
- There is a 30 minute limit to each call
- Drugs that fall into schedule 4 or schedule 8 categories will NOT be dispensed on telephone or video consult.
VIDEO CONSULT
- Consultation Fee is $65 Inc GST
- There is a 60 minute limit to each call
- Drugs that fall into schedule 4 or schedule 8 categories will NOT be dispensed on telephone or video consult.
ON-SITE CONSULT
- Consultation Fee is $198 Inc GST
- Includes water testing & physical exam
- Consultation fee includes travel within Zone A.

Aquatic Pathology Services
We here at For Fish can also provide veterinary pathology interpretation services that are specific for fish. Anatomical and clinical pathology is a critical diagnostic technique within aquatic animal medicine. We at For Fish are able to do this in house as our team are trained to assess, handle, prepare and analyse aquatic species samples for cytology, microbiology, and pathology reading.
As experts in the field of aquatics, we understand there are unique requirements when interpreting aquatic samples compared to terrestrial animals. Therefore, if you are a veterinary practioner undertaking aquatic animal cases, we are here to help. Aquatic Animal EDUCATION
Ever found yourself overwhelmed with information and unsure on where to turn to deal with your fish problem? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get informed information from a source you trust?
We here at For Fish can answer your questions through consultation and provide educational opportunities which will at least allow you to ask the right questions and filter the vast amounts of information about fish health and keeping that’s out there.
We aim to provide short courses on new initiatives for sustainable fish care and keeping. We are collaborating with academic institutions in an attempt to make the latest scientific advances available to you in a concise and understandable format.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for continued education for fish keepers and aqua-culturists in an online or face-to-face workshop modal. We are currently in the developmental stage of this program and when available will inform you.
